Our Story

Takiya came from a germ of an idea having seen in Jaipur, Rajasthan, a collection of beautiful, old saris where some of the borders had come adrift and were gently blending with one another.  They created shapes that led to a vison of a cushion.  We then sourced the borders to create our own, unique collection.
