takiya is the Hindi word for cushion.  Our covers are Made from a blend of vintage and new borders, traditionally used for special occasions. 
Saris can be up to yards in length, as are the borders which are carefully curated and individually chosen to create elegant and beautifully crafted cushion covers. 

Creating the covers is a complex task and each takes a long time, but our ‘fabricator’ works single handedly to craft each one. The borders take a while to gather so our stocks are kept relatively low. Because the covers are handmade there will be slight variations from time to time.
